So let's see...life has been incredibly busy these last few months and there's so much I haven't written about...our September shore trip, the preschool Touch a Truck fundraiser, Daddy's birthday and the Phillies winning the World Series. There was also the sadness of our kitty Zeke's sudden illness and passing. The song I found for this post fits our pace so appropriately...catch us if you can!
In my mind, October's festivities signal the beginning of the holiday season and once pumpkins and mums start showing up on front doorsteps, it's a headlong rush toward New Year's Day. So maybe I'll just do a review of all the fun things we did last month. Here's the short version of October...
The kids had their first school bus ride when their preschool class went to a local farm...Grandma went along to help us pick the perfect pumpkins. It was the first really chilly day of the fall season and we needed our fleece jackets to keep warm.
After the hayride, we enjoyed icecream at the dairy......Daddy also had a birthday and we dreamed big for the Phillies.
Grammy & Grandpa from the mountains visited for the weekend and we went to see the scarecrows at Peddlars' Village. I just realized we have NO pictures of Grammy or Grandpa to prove they were with us! Oops!
Toward the end of the month, we celebrated our friend Hannah's 5th birthday.
And we went beserk when the Phillies PHINALLY won the World Series (yes, Daddy got the kids out of bed to watch the final inning, just like he did last time the team won when he was 7 years old.)
All in all, a fun and memorable month.
Enjoy!
