Summer Kick Off

Memorial Day weekend is the official kick-off to summer around here and the past few years that's meant a Gunning family gathering at Aunt Janet/Uncle Jack's house for swimming and a big picnic. This year the kids did tremendously well in the water and by the end all were splashing around (with floatie vests) without the help of an adult. Here are the highlights....

J is definitely the water bug (with L coming in a close second.) We had to post someone at the bottom of the slide because he would've gone down it without anyone watching. Here, Daddy catches him.

J can find adventures anywhere. A hole under the tree was an "elf tunnel" and the spit bugs on the leaves fascinated him.
