Peanuts & CrackerJack

For his potty-training prize, M chose to go to a Reading Phillies' game (thanks to Uncle Gordy for the awesome front-row tickets!) It was his first real game and turned out to be more special than we could have imagined. We were able to take PopPop along so he got to be there for the special occasion. We also sat in the front row right along the on-deck circle (M got to watch each player warm up just feet away) where he "caught" not one, but TWO foul balls. The weather was perfect and to top it all off, it was fireworks night so we enjoyed a beautiful display afterward. The only downer was that the home team lost. I guess that's part of being a Phillies fan, eh?

Arriving at the park.......M was thoroughly freaked out by the huge, furry mascot that bounded up to him and tried to shake his hand.

On Daddy's lap.......holding the second ball he caught (actually it was given to him by the on-deck player who caught it. SO special!)

After the game: checking out the field and the post-game entertainment
