Somethin Fishy Goin On

J wrapped up his potty training in early August and chose as his reward a day at the Camden Aquarium. So we dropped off the sibs with Grandma and Pop and headed over the river for a fun, fishy adventure. You can see the fascination on J's face....he truly loves to examine things in detail so he was plastered up against nearly every glass tank that we came upon. I can only imagine what must have been going through his mind when we saw creatures that he's only seen in books or in cartoon form on TV....Nemo clown fish, lobsters, crocodiles and jellyfish. The highlight, of course, was the shark tunnel, a glass walk-through exhibit where dozens of sharks swim all around you.

It was a thrilling trip for J and such a joy for Mommy and Daddy to be there with him.
Right off the bat, a close encounter...... J described these as "humongous" lobsters.

A really cool tube tank........ more fishgazing

A 2-story aquarium with stingrays and sea turtles (Daddy in the tan shirt holding J)
............ gobbled up in the shark's mouth

A very cool encounter with hippos.......more gazing, this time at jellyfish
The shark-petting exhibit....no fear here, so Mommy had to hold him back!
Daddy and J in the shark tunnel. You can see one gliding overhead......at the end of the day, sleeping with the fishes, so to speak :-)
